ISLAMABAD:  A relief fund has been set up; by the Prime Minister (PM) Shahbaz Sharif to extend financial assistance to flood affectees.

A meeting was held under the PM Shahbaz Sharif to review the relief activities in the flood affected areas here Saturday.

The PM said in his statement on this occasion the historical rains have caused devastation in the form of floods. The floods have caused record destruction in Balochistan. Punjab, KP and Sindh have also been hit disastrously by floods. ..

He stated that government has released Rs 5 billion to provide assistance to flood affected people despite difficult economic situation.

He urged the people particularly the philanthropists to help generously the flood affected people. There is a need to help the flood affected brothers, sisters and children with the spirit of ‘Ansar-i-Madina, he added.
The cash assistance for the flood victims can be deposited in Prime Minister’s Relief Fund 2022 Account No. ‘G-12164’
.
The philanthropists should lend hand to government in resettlement of the people facing difficult times due to flood.
