LAHORE:   Supreme Court (SC) has been moved for initiating contempt of court proceedings against Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Hamza Shahbaz, governor Punjab and deputy speaker Punjab Assembly (PA).

PTI leader Mian Aslam Iqbal has filed contempt of court petition in SC Lahore Registry.

The petitioner has taken the plea the election of CM Punjab has not been held in the light of court’s orders. Deputy Speaker PA has committed contempt of court by not complying with the orders of SC.

It was further pleaded in the plea that governor administered oath to Hamza Shahbaz and violated SC order. Hamza Shahbaz also did not contest the election in the light of court’s order.

The petitioner prayed the court to initiate the contempt of court proceedings against Hamza Shahbaz, governor Punjab and deputy speaker PA.
