Islamabad, (Parliament Times) : Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (J&KSM) Altaf Ahmed Bhat welcomes the announcement by Prime Minister Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) Sardar Tanveer Ilyas to increase the living allowance for refugees.

While appriciating the PM AJK Sardar Tanveer ilyas’ announcement Chairman JKSM Bhat said taht the AJK government should meet the needs of Kashmiris who have left their homes in IIOJK to be settled here, on a priority basis and provide them with all possible facilities.

In his budget speech yesterday, the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Sardar Tanveer Ilyas demanded an increase in the living allowance of the refugees of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and solidarity with the leaders of Hurriyat. Altaf Ahmed Bhat said that we had recently drawn the attention of the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir to the plight of Kashmiris coming from Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. An increase in refugee living allowance is a welcoming and encouraging step. Chairman JKSM added.

Altaf Ahmed Bhat also added that the government should provide permanent housing for Kashmiris, who left their homes in IIOJK to be settled here, also opportunities for businesses and jobs and provide education and training for their children. More quotas should be allocated for Kashmiri students in educational institutions, and quotas should be kept in Job opportunities as well.

He said that AJK is the base camp of the Kashmir Freedom Movement. As a base camp, it is the responsibility of the AJK Govt to represent the people of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir at all levels and to play its role in their freedom struggle.

Chairman JKSM Bhat further added that AJK Govt should also fulfil its responsibilities for the protection of its fundamental rights so that a positive and constructive message can be conveyed in occupied Jammu and Kashmir and the morale of Kashmiris fighting for Freedom can be raised.
