Islamabad, (Parliament Times) : Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan has said that full participation of party workers in the Azadi March was a proof that the party was firmly standing by the side of the chairman.The PM expressed these views while talking to government ministers Chaudhry Ali Shan Soni, Dr Nisar Ansar Abdali, Chaudhry Akhlaq, Chaudhry Maqbool, Chaudhry Akbar Ibrahim and others who called on him at Kashmir House Islamabad on Wednesday.Speaking on the occasion, the PM said that it was quite encouraging to see that the party workers have selflessly contributed to make the Azadi March a success by using their personal resources. He also lauded the spirit and enthusiasm of the PTI workers who have travelled long distances to ensure their participation in the long-march.He said that being the largest political party, the PTI believes in democratic values and traditions. Expressing his dissatisfaction over the hurdles being created to stop party workers from joining the march, the PM said, “Despite creating hurdles thousands of people from AJK and other cities and towns Pakistan are marching towards Islamabad to participate in the Azadi March”.He said that the PTI activists did not try to take the law into their own hands anywhere. “Protest is the right of every citizen and the Constitution of Pakistan protects this right”, the PM added.Terming the demands put forth by the PTI chairman as justified, the PM said, “Since these demands are in accordance with the constitution it is imperative that these demands should be fulfilled in line with the law of the land and its constitution”. Reiterating the PTI’s stance on the issue, the PM said, “Holding elections anew is the only solution to Pakistan’s political and economic crisis”.He also took notice of the callous attitude of the Punjab police towards PTI workers in different cities of Pakistan especially in Punjab.Hailing the Islamabad High Court’s order regarding the release of the arrested the PTI activists, the PM said that the IHC’s ruling was a victory of justice.Referring to the rising popularity graph of the PTI chairman, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas further said that the whole nation stands with Imran Khan.
