HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) is a virus that attacks the immune system. AIDS (acquired immune deficiency syndrome) happens after someone has had HIV for many years. In AIDS, the immune system is severely weakened. People with AIDS get serious infections and health problems. However, AIDS disease is one the hugest disease in this world. Which are extremely dangerous or awful diseases. It is too strong and can not be treated in any hospital or any corner of the world. Moreover, then the question arises how it causes and how its transmission? It barely transfers three kinds, the first one sexual contact and second by body fluids, and third by mother to child. Sexual contact is the most frequent cause of HIV transmission. The second most common mode of HIV transmission in body fluid includes blood transfusion, surgical instruments, contaminated shrines, razors, blades, etc. The mother-to-child transmission may occur during pregnancy, during, or breastfeeding. On the other hand, there is currently no cure or vaccine to prevent or cure HIV infection. Treatment is known as active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) is given but no significant improvement is observed. Therefore, prevention is the only cure for AIDS. At last, there is no treatment of this disease but we can preventive measures are recommended to avoid HIV infection. (1) Avoid immoral sexual contacts and follow Islamic teaching to live a clean and healthy life. (2) Surgical instructions must be sterilized before use. (3) Disposable syringes should be used. Blood must be screened before transfusion. (4) Do not share razor blades and tooth brushes. (5) HIV-positive mothers should avoid breastfeeding.
