ISLAMABAD, (Parliament Times) : The Azad Kashmir High Court (IHC) has granted the petition of senior professor Shabir Shahid of Cadet College Pallandri and issued a restraining order restraining the independent government from further extending the tenure of the principal. The said Professor had challenged the initial appointment of Principal Sardar Khurshid in the Supreme Court that his appointment was contrary to Cadet College Rules 1996 and illegal. The first rules were illegally amended to the detriment of the principal. Despite this, Principal Sardar Khurshid failed to complete the required data. Then he was rewarded by making several amendments in the advertisement. Thus, the petitioner and other qualified professors have been deprived of their rights. Now the principal wants to extend his tenure further and is busy in the morning and evening in the presence of the rulers. Therefore, the government should be prevented from giving further extension to Principal Sardar Khurshid. The Chief Justice, while approving the petition, restrained the government from further extension and issued a restraining order and summoned the parties on February 10, 2022. The news spread like wildfire in the college and a wave of happiness spread among the persecuted employees. Employees say that Principal Sardar Khurshid has become highly controversial due to personal bigotry, violation of merit, financial irregularities, corruption, nepotism, nepotism and abuse of power. He first recruited more than a dozen of his relatives against the law without any advertisement and then rewarded them and got them to do millions of development works without tenders. Due to these reasons, several cases against him are pending in the court and NAB. The principal’s further stay will not be in the best interests of the college, students, faculty, and staff.
