RAWALPINDI, (Raja Furqan Ahmed) : British High Commissioner Dr Christian Turner called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa here at the General Headquarters (GHQ). According to ISPR, the visiting dignitary appreciated the Pakistan Army’s role in the Afghan peace process and maintaining peace and stability in the region. Meanwhile, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa said the international community’s assistance to Afghanistan in averting humanitarian crises is imperative for regional peace and stability. During the meeting, matters pertaining to bilateral cooperation and regional security situation, including Afghanistan, came under discussion.
