ISLAMABAD: (Raja Furqan Ahmed): Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi held a telephonic conversation with US Deputy Secretary of State, Wendy Sherman. According to the sources, the Foreign Minister informed that despite not attending the US hosted Summit on Democracy, Pakistan values its relationship with the US and wants to expand it further. The Foreign Minister gave reasons why Pakistan stayed away from the summit and said that Pakistan would not take sides in the power politics of big countries. Meanwhile, Deputy Secretary Sherman expressed the Biden administration’s desire to expand ties with Pakistan beyond Afghanistan.
