Gilgit,(Parliament Times):  The Gilgit-Baltistan Police organized a 5 days Training session on “Criminal, Crime Scene Management and Crime analytics for Smart Policing” for GB Police officers.

The closing ceremony of the workshop was held at a local hotel in collaboration with the GB Police, UNDP and Punjab Information Technology Section on Friday.

Chief Justice Chief Court Justice Ali Baig attended the session as a special guest. Addressing the function, he said that Gilgit-Baltistan Police is honest but the investigation section needs to be improved. If the evidence in the investigation is based on facts then the accused cannot escape punishment.

I have an old relationship with the police, poor and traditional investigations acquit the accused. Such workshops are needed to enhance the expertise of the Gilgit-Baltistan Police, added Justice Ali Baig.

IG Police Gilgit-Baltistan Muhammad Saeed Wazir lauded the services of the GB Police in collaboration with the ‘Law is my protector’ for facilitating quick access to justice for victims, through solid investigation we provide evidence to the court regarding the culprits and crimes. IGP presented shields to Chief Justice Chief Court GB and the representatives of UND and Punjab IT Section.

Representatives of UNDP and IT Section Punjab also addressed the function.
