Rawalpindi, (Parliament Times) : Executive Director Punjab Council of Arts (PUCAR) Saman Rai met culture officials of Balochistan, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan at Punjab Arts Council Rawalpindi in which it was decided that Punjab Arts Council Rawalpindi will host a culture show of all parts of the country will be held on Saturday, November 6. The meeting was attended by Director Punjab Arts Council Rawalpindi Waqar Ahmed, Director Sindh Department of Culture Habibullah, General Manager Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Department of Culture and Tourism Sajjad Hameed, Assistant Director Culture Liaquat Ali, Assistant Director Gilgit-Baltistan Salman Paras, Deputy Director Sajjad Hussain and other concerned officials.
Executive Director Saman Rai said that culture is the source of unity in the country and the Punjab government is striving for the promotion of culture of all parts of the country and a comprehensive plan has been drawn up for this. She said that Punjab Arts Council is striving for the promotion of culture in Pothohar region and its services in this regard are commendable. She said that due to its proximity to the federal capital, Punjab Arts Council Rawalpindi is providing a platform where the culture of the four provinces and all parts of the country including Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan would be presented to the people.
On this occasion, artists performed folk songs of their respective areas in the auditorium of Punjab Arts Council Rawalpindi.
