MUZAFFARABAD/MIRPUR (AJK), (Parliament Times) : The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi has said that special package amounting to 500 billion rupees has been made in principle for the promotion of tourism, improvement of communication and roads provisions of health facilities, Education, IT and Forests to bring about socio economic changes in the lives of the people of the state.
Talking to newspaper owners and senior journalists here on Friday he said the package is also envisages extending basic facilities to the people living at the line of control and added that the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan will announce the package himself.
He said according to the vision of the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan a new era of development and prosperity will begin in Azad Kashmir and a corruption free society will be established in the state. He said with the holding of local bodies election in the state the power will be transferred at the gross root level and development and prosperity of the people of the state will be ensured.
The Prime Minister said that media is the fourth pillar of the state and government will build rest houses and colonies for journalists .He said that government has prepared long-term, mid-term and short-term plans to implement its manifesto and urged the journalists to project the developmental activities of the government for the socio economic uplift of the people of Azad Kashmir.
The Prime Minister said that development and prosperity, welfare of the people and liberation of occupied Kashmir were the top priorities of his government and all resources would be channelized to achieve these objectives. . The Prime Minister said that the process of accountability will be initiated and a corruption free society will be set up in the state. He said the present government has come into power with the sole mission of building and developing Azad Kashmir, providing basic amenities to the people and steps would be taken towards economic self-sufficiency and eradicating corruption from the society.
He said that the PTI government in Azad Kashmir is a reflection of the vision of the Prime Minister of Pakistan and will complete the mission of welfare and development of the people.
Replying to a question, the Prime Minister said that local bodies elections will be held in the state and power will be shifted to the gross root level to ensure the development and prosperity of the people of the state. The Prime Minister said that special weeks are being observed for the development of the tourism sector, elimination of encroachments and to extend facilities to the people of the Line of Control .The Prime Minister said that over one billion rupees will be provided for the promotion of technical education to overcome unemployment.
The Prime Minister paid glowing tributes to the Pakistan Army for their unprecedented sacrifices for defending the motherland at the line of control.
