Rawalpindi,(Parliament Times) : Deputy Inspector General of Police Director FIA Athar Waheed said that every officer has to play his role to change the traditional system in the agency. The primary duty of the Victim Support Officer is to provide legal and psychological support to the victim as well as to rely on the system and provide security to the victim where needed. The Victim Support Model of Rawalpindi Police is the first model in South Asia.The police will have to shift their focus to victim support. He said this while addressing the first session of the second day of the training workshop for Lady Victim Support Officers at Police Lines Headquarters. The Rawalpindi Police Victim Support Model is the first model in South Asia Said Ahsan Younas the C P O. The training workshop was also addressed by Prof. Dr. Sajida Naz and Dr. Nazia Khadim of Fatima Jinnah University while CPO Muhammad Ahsan Younis thanked the guests.
