Rawalpindi,   (Parliament Times) :  The participants of a Webinar seminar held here on Friday stressed the need of developing infrastructure and other facilities of higher education with heavy investment in higher educational institutions and research establishments, particularly in science, technology, engineering and latest skills being demanded by the world job market.

The event was organized by Knight Human Management (KHM) Shalan Pakistan, an agency for protection of rights of overseas Pakistani manpower with the collaboration of the Istanbol Gadik University Turkey in Rawalpindi, Lahore and Multan.

“Developing and promoting the facilities of modern professional and skill based higher education as the basis for economic stability and the eradication of poverty and unemployment is the most important need of the hour”, said CEO of KHM Khalid Nawaz in his address. He said since a huge number of our intelligent but poor students could not enroll themselves with existing universities in the country, they must avail the opportunities offered them as international students by a number of foreign universities. “Many universities in the world offer fully sponsored scholarships for those students who could not get admissions in their countries due to lack of resources or other reasons”, he mentioned. Khalid Nawaz told the students that more than 200 deserving students from Pakistan have so far been sent abroad in Germany and Italy for higher education on fully funded scholarships and yet other deprived ones could avail the opportunities being offered by the International universities including Gedik University Istanbol Turkey to materialize their dreams. “Making quality higher professional and technical education more accessible to the poor students is our aim in line with the present government’s efforts for poverty and un-employment reduction”, he added.

Director of the International Office of Istanbul Gedik University Turkey Gulsum Karaman made the participant students aware of various fully sponsored educational scholarship opportunities and guided them how to avail these opportunities. He answered numerous queries of webinar participants and told them that while studying in Gedik University, they would be able to interact with the students of different countries to whom they could learn new trends and a lot more about the education and technical skills.

The participating students from Rawalpindi, Lahore and Multan applauded the efforts of KHM for making quality higher education more accessible for deprived ones as a greedless exertion.
