There is a severe shortage of food in the area. The locals risk their lives to cross wooden bridges or cross the river with the help of ropes, which has led to many accidents. The provincial government should immediately restore the damaged bridges and roads to alleviate the problems of the people of the area, otherwise the people of the area will be compelled to hold a Strike outside the Chief Minister’s House, he said, Speaking at the News conference, Abdul Rab, a resident of Dobir area of Kohistan district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said that Kohistan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, which enrich in tourism, is the most backward district with a population of 15,000. Deprived Fundamental rights even in modern times, Roads and bridges connecting the area have been destroyed due to floods ten months ago, but the federal and provincial governments, including the local administration and political leadership, are unable to do anything for the people of the area. Shortages have arisen, with locals risking their lives to cross wooden plank bridges or crossing the river with ropes, which has led to many accidents, the lack of a primary health center in the area. Because of this, in delivery cases, patients are carried on Wooden sticks to remote areas,Due to which serious patients often die on the way, he said that Kohistan area is rich in tourism but due to lack of interest of federal and provincial governments it is backward and hidden from public view. And there are hydropower plants but the people of the area are forced to drink rain water. He demanded the Chief Minister KP Mehmood Khan to visit the area immediately to alleviate the problems of the people and to restore all the connecting roads and bridges. Otherwise, the people of Kohistan district, especially Dobir, will be forced to start a Protest movement outside the Chief Minister’s House in Peshawar after July 10.
