Sargodha: Sargodha University climbs up in world’s young university rankings 2021.In comparison to the previous year ranking, Sargodha University improved its global position and ranked at 351-400 in Times Higher Education (THE) Young University Rankings 2021.
In 2021, THE Young University Rankings included the list of 475 world’s best universities that were not more than 50 years old and assessed their performance on the calibrated 13 performance indicators including teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook, while giving less weightage to reputation.
Moreover, Sargodha University also retained its rank at 401+ in Asia according to the latest ranking of Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2021.
A total of 551 universities from 30 territories met the qualified for the ranking criteria of Asian University Rankings that was based on 13 performance indicators grouped into five areas:
Teaching (the learning environment); Research (volume, income, and reputation); Citations (research influence); International outlook (staff, students, and research); and Industry Income (knowledge transfer).
For overall performance against the calibrated performance indicators, the University also retained its global rank at 1001+ while, in terms of teaching, Sargodha University clinched the second position in Pakistan according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2021.
Previously, in 2020, it was ranked by the Times Higher Education as 401+ Young University in the world, 500+ University in Emerging Economies, and 600+ University in terms of its Impact on SGDs. The University was also ranked 401-450 Asian University in the QS World University Rankings for 2019 and 2020.
