Rawalpindi, (Parliament Times) : Coupling with the establishment of universities in all districts of Punjab, the Punjab government must also focus on establishing technical training institutes across the province to cater the needs of national and international job markets regarding latest technical skills which would result in reducing un-employment and poverty in short span of time.
This was stated by Khalid Nawaz, chief executive officer of Knight Human Management (KHM) Shalan Pakistan GL, an agency that protects the rights and employment of overseas Pakistani workers. He was addressing to the participants of a training workshop held here on Sunday for overseas workers. A large number of students of different technical institutes were also present on the occasion.
He said that after the end of the third wave of Corona, more and better opportunities for overseas jobs in the Gulf and other countries, including the UAE, are waiting for our youth. The changing educational priorities of the world require our youth to focus on latest technical skills for that the government and the private sector have a responsibility to bridge the gap in demand and supply of technical educational facilities. He said that the decision of Punjab government to set up a university in every district was highly commendable but the government should pay more attention to spread a network of technical educational facilities based on required skills.
“We can overcome problems like poverty and unemployment in just one to two years by making our youth experts in modern and demanding technical skills.
