Rawalakot , (Parliament Times) : Commissioner Poonch Division Masood-ur-Rehman and DIG Poonch Region Sardar Rashid Naeem attended the funeral prayers of the women who were allegedly killed in Haveli, namely Sharifa Bibi wife of Siddique and Zahida Bibi daughter of Mohammad Siddique and offered condolences to the family. Deputy Commissioner Haveli Ashfaq Gilani, SS Haveli Mirza Shaukat and a large contingent of police were also present on the occasion. After hearing the family members, Commissioner Poonch Division and DIG Poonch Region met the elders of Haveli District at various places. Meanwhile, IG Azad Kashmir police are also monitoring the case. Talking on the occasion, Commissioner Masood-ur-Rehman and DIG Sardar Rashid Naeem said that a case has been registered against the named accused under Section 34/302 Independent Penal Code 14 at Kahuta police station on the complaint of the heirs of the slain Muhammad Siddique. Police forces are making all-out efforts to arrest the culprits. They assured the family members that all technical resources and investigative skills would be utilized for speedy and transparent investigation of the case and the accused would be arrested and brought to justice. It is the responsibility of the state to provide justice to the affected family and punish the perpetrators of the crime which will be fulfilled in any case. On this occasion, both the officers appealed to the people of Haveli district to show restraint. Don’t give up and cooperate with the police in the investigation process under the law. They clarified that no one will be allowed to take the law into his own hands and disturb the peace of the area. The IG Police Azad Kashmir is also monitoring the case.
