LAHORE:   Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has said that it has become a norm of the opposition to do futile criticism. Prime Minister Imran Khan wants to take the country forward and the opposition is unable to tolerate it. The 50 million dollars Saudi investment is a reflection of their confidence in government policies. Pak-Saudi relations will be an important milestone for prosperity and peace in the region. 220 million Pakistanis stand with their Palestinian brothers and sisters in this time of crisis, he added.

Talking to the media after the ceremony at Governor’s House Lahore, Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that when PTI came to power, there was talk of Pakistan going bankrupt but the government led by Prime Minister Imran Khan has saved Pakistan from bankruptcy through successful economic policies. The world is also acknowledging the success of the government’s economic policies and today Pakistan’s economy is on the path to recovery despite challenging times due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. The increase in exports is a testament to the success of prudent economic policies of the government.

Replying to a question on PM Imran Khan’s visit to Saudi Arabia, Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that PM Imran Khan’s visit to Saudi Arabia has been successful and as far as the opposition is concerned, they will criticize everything for the sake of criticism. I ask the opposition once again to end its undemocratic behaviour because their attitude is not in the interest of the country, he added.

Replying to a other question, Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that he strongly condemns the atrocities committed by the Israeli forces in Palestine and said that the international human rights organizations should take notice of the Israeli terrorism and demanded from the OIC and the Muslim Ummah to press the international community on this matter. He said that the case of the murder of innocent Palestinian martyrs should go to the International Court of Justice and the solution to the Palestinian conflict has become necessary for world peace, he maintained.
