ISLAMABAD:   Covid-19 claimed 120 more lives in Pakistan during the last 24 hours while over 4000 persons tested positive on Saturday.

According to National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) latest figures 48103 corona tests were conducted in the last 24 hours taking the tally of tests to 1214993. The death tally has reached 18797 so far due to corona virus.

As many as 4109 positive cases were reported in 24 hours raising the overall number of positive cases to 854240.

As per NCOC statistics 290756 persons tested positive in Sindh , 316334 in Punjab, 123150 in KP, 77684 in Islamabad, 23186 in Balochistan, 17763 in Azad Kashmir and 5967 in Gilgit-Baltistan so far.

The number of active corona patients stand at 82731 at present and over 4000 patients are stated to be in precarious condition.

4957 patients have been recovered in 24 hours taking the number of recovered persons to 752712.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health Dr Faisal Sultan warned Pakistanis of a “very risky period ahead” as Ramadan comes to an end and the days of Eid-ul-Fitr holidays approach.
