Kotri: Ali Baba Government Boys Degree College Kotri Pakistan Day cricket competitions have been launched. According to Senior Director Physical Education Pervez Ahmed Sheikh, teams of different classes were named after national leaders, heroes and local celebrities of Kotri so that they can be remembered on the occasion of Pakistan Day. He said that this is the last event of the ongoing Sports Week and Inter-Class series in the college and the talent gained from these events will be brought to the next level by providing proper coaching.
In the opening matches of cricket, Ali Baba, Shahbaz Qalandar, Ghazi Ilm Din and Baba Salahuddin entered the final four. According to the results, Ghazi defeated Jinnah, Shahbaz defeated Iqbal, Salahuddin defeated Affandi and Ali Baba defeated Haider Bux. Hafeez, Zeeshan, Aqib, Rajab, Majid, Saqib, Adnan, Sakhawat, Zakir, Samiullah, Mirali, Abdul Samad, Shehzad, Uzair, Saddam, Hasnain, Sagar, Azlan, Rafi, Abdul Rehman, Shakir and Tariq are among the prominent cricketers.They showed excellent batting, bowling, fielding, catching and wicket keeping.
The matches were supervised by Director Physical Education Muhammad Amin Jhandeer, Babar Ali and Saadat Ali.Profs.Javed Iqbal Sheikh, Nazir Ahmad Shahani, Ghulam Hussain Khoso, Abdul Qayyum Leghari, Senior Director Physical Education and Organizing Secretary Pervez Ahmed Sheikh and others were present on the occasion.According to the college Proncipal Prof.Abdul Msjeed Umrani the prizes have been finalized However, the date of distribution ceremony will be announced in next week.
