Deadlock between opposition and Speaker NA persists over issuance of production orders

ISLAMABAD:   Dead lock persists between opposition and speaker National Assembly (NA) Asad Qaisar over issuance of production orders of detained NA members of two major opposition parties including PML-N and PPP.

In the aftermath of this deadlock opposition parties have started consultation process among them to table no trust motion against NA speaker in NA and this matter will be discussed in PDM meeting scheduled for February 04.

Sources said speaker NA has refused to issue production orders of Shahbaz Sharif, Khawaja Asif and Khurshid Shah without application. However opposition parties have refused to file applications in connection with the production orders of these three MNAs.

PML-N and PPP have decided to raise the issue of partial attitude of speaker NA in the PDM summit meeting and on the other hand PML-N has given suggestion to boycott NA session due to partial attitude of speaker NA. PPP however has not supported this proposal.

Sources said the matter will be taken up in PDM Thursday meeting and final decision in this regard will be taken in consultation with all component parties of PDM.
