LAHORE (Parliament Times):  Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Senator Siraj-ul-Haq has hailed the Kashmiri diaspora community’s role in projecting and promoting the Kashmiris cause and Indian brutalities at the international level.

The JI chief made these assertions during a meeting with former Ameer-e-Jammat AJK and Chairman Public Accounts Committee Abdul Rashid Turabi and President of Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK Faheem Kayani who called him here on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion Senator Siraj-ul-Haq while assuring his party unwavering support for the Kashmir cause said, “Not only Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan but the entire Pakistani nation is by the side of Kashmiris who are fighting for their legitimate right guaranteed to them by the international community”. Lauding the sacrifices of Kashmiri nation, the JI chief said that the day was not far when people of Kashmir will be free from the clutches of foreign occupation”. The rulers of Pakistan, he said, should remember that whoever betrayed the blood of Kashmiris has ultimately faced wrath of the masses. He said that it was time that the government should focus on this sensitive and security issue of Pakistan and form a joint Kashmir policy by convening a joint sitting of the parliament.

“Indian government’s policy of oppression and suppression need to be exposed to the world through an aggressive diplomatic campaign”, he said adding that it was also incumbent on the world governments not to remain silent on the sufferings of Kashmiri people.

On this occasion, Chairman Public Accounts Committee Abdul Rashid Turabi apprised the JI chief of the latest situation in Occupied Kashmir. Kayani briefed about the activities regarding the Kashmir issue in the United Kingdom. He also expressed his condolences to Siraj-ul-Haq over his mother’s demise.
