Rawalakot,  (Parliament Times) : Terming Tuli Pir Road as an important highway in terms of tourism in Azad Kashmir the former President and Prime Minister Sardar Yaqoob Khan has said that the construction of this road has provided employment opportunities to thousands of people in the area.

The former premier made these remarks while talking to members of different public delegations that called on him here on Monday. Speaking on the occasion Khan expressed concern over reduction of Tuli Pir Road’s width saying that reduction in the width of this important highway was an injustice to the people of Poonch district. The Tuli Pir Road he said serves as a lifeline in terms of tourism in the area. Khan said that he had always fought for the protection of the rights of Poonch in the past and will continue to do so in the future. “We have always made public rights a top priority,” he said adding that the government should immediately construct this important highway in accordance with the prescribed width and quality, so that better employment opportunities can be provided to the local people, including thousands of tourists every year.
