ISLAMABAD, (Parliament Times) : Proving its commitment to eradicate drugs from our homeland, Anti Narcotics Force Pakistan seized 3.590 Ton narcotics & 2037 Liters Prohibited Chemical valuing US$ 1.091 Billion internationally, arrested 26 culprits including a foreigner and impounded 12 vehicles in conducting 30 counter-narcotics strikes throughout the country. The seized drugs comprised of 2065.4 Kg Hashish, 1000 Kg Morphine, 507.3 Kg Opium, 13.678 Kg Heroin, 2.550 Kg Methamphetamine (Ice), 4700x Xanax Tabs, 700x Ecstasy Tabs and 2037 Liters Acetic Anhydride.
ANF Quetta recovered 7 Kgs Opium alongwith Motorcycle from desolate area behind Al-
Amarat Hotel at Eastern bypass District Quetta. In another operation, ANF Quetta intercepted a Coure car parked near Villas restaurant situated near Khaizi Chowk at Western Bypass (N-25) Tehsil & District Quetta and recovered 260 Kg Hashish from the said vehicle. In third operation, ANF Quetta raided at deserted house situated near Killi Pinkai, Tehsil Gulistan, District Qilla Abdullah and recovered 1000 Kg Morphine from the said house. In fourth operation, ANF Quetta recovered 2037 Liters Acetic Anhydride (AA) from a mountainous area of Killi Akhwanzada, Tehsil Chaman, District Qilla Abudllah. In fifth operation, ANF Quetta intercepted a Hino Truck parked near Chakal Mor, District Panjgur and recovered 300 Kg Opium from the said truck. In sixth operation, ANF Quetta raided at Killi Dolangi, Tehsil Gulistan, District Qilla Abdullah and
recovered 1018 Kg Hashish. In seventh operation, ANF Quetta recovered 24 Kg Hashish from Boosa Mandi, Link Badini Road, located near Railway Crossing Quetta. As per details, the recovered drugs were stored for handover to some other narco gang.
ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Toyota Corolla Car near Tarakai Toll Plaza, Main G.T Road,
Sohawa, District Jhelum and recovered 2.008 Kg Heroin which was concealed in spare tyre of the said vehicle. An accused namely Khalid Khan resident of Mardan was arrested on the spot. In another operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused person namely Adnan Khan resident of Dera Ismail Khan and recovered 2 Kg Heroin (Brown) which was tactfully concealed in wooden box. He was arrested near Motorway link road, Islamabad. In third operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused namely Aamir Khan resident of Bannu at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 4700x Xanax Tablets (weighing 700 gram) which was tactfully concealed in biscuits. He was travelling to Damam (KSA) through Flight No.PK-9242.
ANF Peshawar and in collaboration with NLC arrested three accused persons namely Zain
Ullah resident of Khyber, Muhammad Ismat Ullah resident of Afghanistan and Hidayat Ullah
resident of Peshawar and recovered 700 x Ecstasy Tabs (weighing 400 grams) which was
concealed in card board (packing material). In another operation, ANF Peshawar in collaboration with ASF arrested an accused identified as Muhammad Bilal resident of Peshawar at Bacha Khan International Airport, Peshawar and recovered 1.670 Kg Heroin which was tactfully concealed in Corncobs placed in his luggage. The arrested accused was travelling Sharjah through Flight No. PK-257. In third operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a Toyota Vigo at Shah Maqsood Interchange, Haripur and recovered 1 Kg Heroin which was concealed beneath the rear seat of the seized vehicle. A person namely Nazar Hussain resident of Abbottabad was arrested during the operation. In fourth operation, ANF Peshawar in collaboration with Frontier Corps (North) raided at dried nullah located near Dawood Sar Post, Tehsil & District Khyber and recovered 30.000 Kg Hashish. The drugs were hidden for onwards smuggling to Peshawar. In fifth operation, ANF Peshawar arrested an accused namely Mansoor Ali resident of Haripur and recovered 1.8 Kg Hashish alongwith Motorcycle. As per details, The seized drugs were to be sold to tourists at Tarbela lake, near Khalabut Township, Haripur. In sixth operation, ANF Peshawar
intercepted a vehicle near Karkhano Check Post, Peshawar and recovered 2.4 Kg Opium & 7.2 Kg Hashish which was concealed in fuel tank of the seized vehicle. A person onboard namely Syed Hazrat Shah resident of Peshawar was arrested during the operation. In seventh operation, ANF Peshawar arrested an accused namely Shala Bagh resident of Khyber and recovered 2.4 Kg Hashish. He was arrested near Shin Qamar Check Post. In eighth operation, ANF Peshawar arrested an accused person namely Bughdad resident of Khyber and recovered 1.1 Kg Opium.
He was arrested near Shin Qamar check Post. In ninth operation, ANF Peshawar in collaboration with HQ Khyber Rifles Landi Kotal recovered 1.2 Kg Hashish from the arrested accused namely Mahir Khan resident of Khyber.
ANF Lahore intercepted a Toyota Corolla Car near Al-Mustafa Jama Masjid, located at
Multan Vehari Road, Vehari and recovered 240 Kg Hashish from secret cavity of the vehicle. An accused Muhammad Irfan resident of Vehari was arrested on the spot. In another operation, ANF Lahore raided at house situated at Chak No.65 WB, Tehsil & District Vehari and recovered 168 Opium & 273.6 Kg Hashish from the said house. A person namely Shoukat Ali alias Thaikydar resident of Vehari was arrested during the operation. In third operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Suzuki Swift Car near Chak No.70 JB, Abbas Pura Road, Tehsil & District Faisalabad and recovered 28.8 Kg Opium & 19.2 Kg Hashish. During the operation accused Manan Khan resident of Khyber Agency opened fire on raiding party and managed to escape, while the second suspect namely Abdul Razzaq resident of Bahwalpur was injured as a result of firing. He
was shifted to DHO Hospital Faisalabad for treatment however, he was discharged after first aid.
In fourth operation, ANF Lahore arrested an accused identified as Muhammad Usman resident of Gujranwala at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore and recovered 7 Kg Heroin which was tactfully concealed in his trolly bag. He was boarding for Italy (via Doha) through Qatar Airway Flight No.QR-629.
ANF Karachi intercepted a Trailer near Muslim Kanta, Maripur Truck Stand, Karachi
alongwith two empty container and recovered 42 Kg Hashish which was concealed in tool box. Resultantly Two accused persons namely Imdad Hussain and Parvar Shah residents of Karachi were arrested on the spot. In another operation, ANF Karachi Intercepted a Toyota Corolla Car near Ayub Hotel, located at National Highway, Hyderabad and recovered 86 Kg Hashish from the said vehicle. An accused namely Tariq Ahmed resident of Dadu was arrested on the spot. In third operation, ANF Karachi intercepted a trailer near Gate No.15, Keamari, Karachi and recovered 36 Kg Hashish which was kept in tool box of the seized trailer. An accused Guldar Shah resident of Karachi was arrested on the spot. In fourth operation, ANF Karachi conducted a raid at Gulshan-e-Latif, Bilal Colony, Korangi Karachi and recovered 2 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the arrested accused namely Mukhtiar alias Moulai resident of Karachi. In fifth operation, ANF Karachi conducted a raid at Link Road, Cargo Complex near Jinnah International Airport, Karachi and recovered 2.550 Kg Methamphetamine (Ice) from the arrested accused identified as Ghulam Hussain resident Sahiwal. In sixth operation, ANF Karachi arrested two accused namely Abdul Baqi and Atta Ullah both residents of Qila Abdullah and recovered 7.000 Kg Hashish from their personal possession. Both were arrested from MPR Colony road near
Makkah Baryani, Baloch Colony, Karachi. In seventh operation, ANF Karachi intercepted a motorcycle at PSO Petrol Pump located at Indus Chowrangi, Korangi, Karachi and recovered
15.6 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the arrested accused namely Fahim Ahmed
resident of Karachi.
All cases have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations under CNS Act 1997 and
further investigations are underway.
