Poetry recital arranged in honor of Naseem Sheikh



Rawalpindi;   (Parliament Times)   Nayab Adabi Forum with collaboration of Punjab Council of the Arts arranged the first annual Mushaira in honor of renowned poet Naseem Sheikh Sharif from Karachi. The annual poetry recital was presided over by the country’s renowned poet, critic and columnist Naseem Sehar. Apart from them, Prof. Ehsan Elahi Ehsan from Chakwal, Shah Dil Shams from Hafizabad, Dr. Munir Tabish from Chak Bailey, Asif Naqvi from Aymanabad Gujranwala and Malik Irfan Khani from KlarKahar came for special participation. Nusrat Yab Khan Nusrat, Chairman, Rare Literary Forum, performed the duties of the directorate. Mr. Naseem Sheikh, a renowned poet of the country, was awarded the “Rare Literary Award” by the NayabAdabiForum for his outstanding literary services.Naseem Sehar, President of the Mushaera, said that it is certainly commendable that such a wonderful Mushaera was held at the Punjab Arts Council. He appreciated the literary services of the Rare Literary Forum and hoped to hold similar programs in the future as well. All the esteemed poets congratulated Nusrat Yab Nusrat, the chairman of the Rare Literary Forum, for organizing his wonderful annual poetry recital. Director Waqar Ahmed said that Poetry is the soul of virtual spirit. The Council had strived to promote young poets by giving them ample opportunity to show their work to the world. A number of people from different walks of life attend the mushahira.
