KARACHI: The incidents of five flights colliding with birds have been reported in a single day at Karachi airport.
The incidents of airplanes collision with birds have been increased due to the incompetence of Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
According to CAA the incidents of five flights colliding with birds have been reported in a single day at Karachi airport and 18 PIA airplanes have been damaged due to birds collision in a year.
The sources said that birds collided with four airplanes of PIA and one airplane of AIR BLUE. The wing of PIA’s flight PK-309 coming from Islamabad to Karachi has been severely damaged due to birds collision.
According to the sources the airplane’s wing, wind screen and engine have also been damaged due to the birds collision. 39 flights have been collided with birds during the month August till December of this year, sources added.
