Rawalpindi,(Parliament Times): JKLF leaders expressed their serious concern over the floating news reports about Gilgit Baltistan (GB) being annexed with Pakistan. They said that the State of Jammu Kashmir comprised upon 84,471 sq/km with more than twenty million population is an indivisible entity.

JKLF leaders held  at its party central information office held an important and argent meeting with the editors of local daily newspapers of AJK. Those among the editors were Raja Kafeel Ahmed (Daily Jammu Kashmir), Sardar Zahid Tabassum (Daily Kashmir

Express), Abid Abbasi (Daily Kashmir Times), Javed Iqbal (Daily Parliament  Times), Choudhary Sajid (Sada-e-Chanar), Raja Shabir Usmani and others. JKLF leaders expressed their serious concern over the floating news reports about Gilgit Baltistan (GB) being annexed with Pakistan. They said that the State of Jammu Kashmir comprised upon 84,471 sq/km with more than twenty million population is an indivisible entity. They said that GB is an important part and parcel of the State of Jammu Kashmir that in no way can be sliced down from it. Pakistan by doing so will for sure loose its high moral ground on the issue of Jammu Kashmir, and will be seen at par with India because the annexation of GB in Pakistan shall in no case be different than that of  5th August 2019 aggression, they added.

JKLF terms it as an illegal and immoral act as UNSC resolutions prohibit both India and Pakistan from making any territorial and demographic changes in the State by saying that both the countries must respect the territorial integrity of the State of Jammu Kashmir. The JKLF leaders said that by doing so Pakistan may further loose its moral authority to condemn and challenge Indian aggression of 5th August 2019. The leaders demanded government of Pakistan not to merge GB as primarily it would definitely affect the disputed nature of the State of Jammu Kashmir, and secondly, it may throw the freedom loving people into deep despondency. This act will put an irreparable dent in to the freedom movement and like Indian aggression would tarnish the national integrity of Jammu Kashmir.

The JKLF leaders also appealed the political, religious and civil society leadership of the Jammu Kashmir especially the government of AJK to do their needful and fulfil their national duty as a true citizen of the State. The JKLF leaders who were present on the occasion were: Hafiz Muhammad Anwar Samavi (Vice Chairman), Khawaja Saifudin (Vice Chairman), Saleem Haroon (Vice Chairman), Sajid Siddiqi (Sec. Gen), Adv. Abdul Rahim Malik (Chairman JKSLF), Sardar M. Anwar Khan (Member Supreme Council, Yahya Farooq, Raja Asim (Hamaliya Raja) and others. Party chief spokesman Muhammad Rafiq Dar represented JKLF in the meeting.
