ISLAMABAD:   Samina Fazil, founder President, Islamabad Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IWCCI) on Friday lauded the move of the Prime Minister Imran Khan to empower the youth.

Kamyab Jawan Programme’s Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme (YES) is a great initiative to empower the youth and women entrepreneurs which will result in rapid national development, she said.

Speaking at an awareness session regarding Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme, organised by IWCCI, she said that entrepreneurship should be included in the curriculum at all levels.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Youth Affairs Muhammad Usman Dar said empowering Prime Minister Imran Khan accords special attention to the uplift of youth.

He said that the allocation for the Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme will be enhanced while procedure for those seeking financial assistance has been simplified as they will have to fill a simple form on the website.

Usman Dar also distributed cheques amounting to Rs10 million among the women and vowed to utilise best of his abilities to help youth start their own business to earn a decent living as so far at least 1,000 women have started their businesses under this programme while a total of one million people will be benefitted from the project.
