QUETTA: One person died and seven others were injured after a blast took place in Turbat Bazaar.
The blast took place near a car after which the vehicle caught fire, Windows of nearby buildings were smashed due to the intensity of the blast.
Rescue efforts are underway and the injured have been shifted to a hospital.
Police have cordoned off the area and are conducting an investigation to ascertain the reason for the blast.
Security officials have confirmed that it was a planted explosion. Explosives were planted in something, it is being investigated that whether it was planted in car or underground, it will be premature to say anything about the nature of blast.
