ISLAMABAD:    Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has said government is not going anywhere and will complete its term.

“Government is not going anywhere. Opposition should wait for three years more. No conspiracy from opposition will be allowed to succeed; he said this while talking to speaker National Assembly (NA) and members of NA here in Parliament House Tuesday.

According to sources NA speaker Asad Qaisar called on PM Imran Khan in PM chamber in parliament house and exchanged views on overall political situation of the country and parliamentary matters.

PM appreciated NA speaker for running house proceedings in better and cordial way during budget session while speaker NA apprised PM of the ongoing budget session.

Several proposals on fast tracking process of enacting legislation of public interest came under consideration during the meeting.

PM said budget will provide relief to the poor people in hard times. Rejecting the budget by opposition is nothing more than political stunt.

Later members of national assembly Riaz Fatiyana, Malik Anwar Taj and others called on PM. They apprised the PM of the problems facing the people in their respective constituencies. They demanded development funds be provided to them.

PM said development funds will be provided to members of assembly as soon economic situation improves.

He held government is not going anywhere and will complete its tenure. Opposition propaganda in this regard will not succeed.

He remarked government has placed full focus on dealing with corona virus epidemic at present. All the available resources are being utilized for this purpose.

He asked the parliamentarians to urge their respective constituents to adopt preventive measures as this virus can be defeated through precautionary measures only.

He underlined the state institutions are working in full harmony. Those who are talking of sending him home should wait for 3 years because no conspiracy of the political opponents will succeed.
