Islamabad:       Pakistan People Party (PPP) member of National Assembly (NA) Agha Rafiullah has raised voice against lay off of steel mill employees in NA.
According to media reports, PPP member of NA Agha Rafiullah strongly opposed the government decision to lay off steel mill employees and chanted slogans when NA session started after break of one day chaired by Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Sori.
Khawaja Shiraz said that poor people are being pushed on roads due to no flour and petrol while government writ is not being seen anywhere. Government member has raised voice against inflation in NA and government should take steps to provide basic need items in the present situation and management should take immediate action against those found involved in flour, petrol and sugar crises, he further said.
Jamiat Ulema Islam (F) has objected to government strategy on thin presence of MNAs in the house and JUI member of NA Maulana Abdul Wasey demanded to ensure attendance of all the members in National Assembly.
Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) member of NA Khurrum Dastagir said that Flour, sugar and petrol crises have made difficult life of poor people, who is responsible of this?. Opposition had raised issue of locusts six month ago, he added.
He further said that 97 passengers were killed in PIA incident while deceased family members are still looking for justice after many weeks . Confusion has been spread that was it the pilot fault or was plane faulty PIA is responsible in every way .
Production of electricity, delivery and distribution and amendment bill and maritime security agency act amendment bills were present in the NA while National College of Arts Institute bill was also presented in NA.
Privatization commission ordinance 2000 report was presented on standing committee for privatization in NA session and council of common interest 2016-17 annual report was also presented in NA.
Standard operating procedure (SOP) agreed by consensus of parliamentary leaders were made in the house while SOPs were presented by opposition senior member Syed Naveed Qamar.
Those members whose corona test has not been conducted will not be allowed to sit in session and only those members will discuss on budget whose names are registered, he further said.
