Rawalpindi:   (Parliament Times)   Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) has extended its heartiest congratulations to three J&K based photojournalists namely; Mukhtar Khan, Yasin Dar and Channi Anand on winning the Pulitzer Prize 2020.

In a statement issued from JKLF central information office, the party spokesman Muhammad Rafiq Dar said that receiving such a prestigious world award is really an honor. Spokesman further said that this award in recognition of services provided to humanity speaks about their bravery, patience and utmost commitment which otherwise would not have been possible. Rafiq Dar in the statement added that amid the continued lockdown after Indian aggression of 5th August 2019, the exhibition of professionalism by many other journalists like them has brought to fore the actual situation in Kashmir. The work done and the professional duties under taken by them during these toughest of times are not only commendable but worth to be followed as well.

The spokesman said that the marvelous work of all these three journalists who are associated with “Associated Press” has actually apprised the world community about the actual situation of Jammu Kashmir. Thus, has highlighted the Kashmir issue and the grave problems faced by the common masses, he added. While diverting the attention of international community towards the long lasting Kashmir issue, Rafiq Dar said that the prevailing situation of Jammu Kashmir demands their intervention so that the Indian military aggression is stopped and the people are granted their right to freedom and right to self-determination. If it is not done, the daily based murder of democracy as well as the murder of humanity will continue, he warned.
