Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) Anti-Narcotics Force Pakistan seized 138.6 Kg narcotics valuing US $ 1.91 Million internationally, arrested 8 culprits and impounded 2 vehicles while conducting 7 counter-narcotics strikes. The seized drugs comprised of 135.5 Kg Hashish and 3.1 Kg Heroin.
As per details, ANF Rawapindi conducted an intelligence based operation at Sakar Koi, Gilgit and recovered 500 Gram Hashish from personal possession of the arrested accused namely Nusrat Wali resident of Gilgit. In another operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused person namely Shakeel Ahmed resident of Gilgit and recovered 600 Gram Hashish from his personal possession. He was arrested near Airport Road, Kashrot Gilgit.
On a tip-off, ANF Peshawar in collaboration with FC KP, 106 wing, Khyber Rifles intercepted a Toyota Vitz car and recovered 13.2 Kg Hashish and 1x 30 Bore Pistol alongwith 6x live rounds. Four Persons onboard namely Tariq, Habib Jan, Raheem and Muhammad Ullah all residents of Khyber were arrested during the operation. In another operaiton, ANF Peshawar arrested an accused person namely Shahdat Hussain Alias resident of D.I Khan and recovered 3 Kg Hashish form his personal possession. He was arrested near CRBC Chowk, D.I Khan. In third operation, ANF Peshawar in collaboration with FC KP, 105 Bde conducted a raid at Shalobar Nullah, Khyber and recovered 111 Kg Hashish which was concealed in rocks. In fourth operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a Suzuki Mehran car near Naseem Town, GT Road, Haripur and recovered 7.2 Kg Hashish during search of the siad vehicle. A person onboard namely Muhammad Zakir resident of Khyber was arrested during the operation.
ANF Karachi intercepted a Canada bound parcel from a private courier office located at Karachi and recovered 3.1 Kg Heroin which was concealed in 11x Lady Purses.
All cases have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations under CNS Act 1997 and further investigations are underway.
