Islamabad: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that Ulema and Mashaikh can play a leading role in fight against COVID-19 and strengthening national efforts to prevent this pandemic.
In a series of tweet on Sunday, she urged the Ulema Mashaikh to guide the general public in adopting precautionary measures to prevent spread of the disease as caution is the most effective treatment for this outbreak.
She said that general public respect the Ulema and Mashaikh and listen their voices very carefully with special attention. Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan welcomed unanimous declaration for Ramadan issued by the president in consultation with Ulema and Mashaikh and said that the President has played a leading role in this regard.
The Special Assistant said the general public should offer prayers in their homes in the holy month of Ramadan to avoid gatherings in mosques. She said that Allah Al-Mighty will bless every home by the holy month. She said that Muslims can also gather the blessings of Allah staying at home and offering Ibadat.
