LAHORE: PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafiq has said it is time to fight against coronavirus rather than politicking.
“ a new institution of accountability will have to be formed. It is not time to play politics but it is time to fight against coronavirus”, he said this while talking to media men after his meeting with JI leader Liaqat Baloch here Saturday.
He remarked “ we have to sit shoulder to shoulder. Uniting the political parties leadership with reference to coronavirus will benefit us. The political leadership should be cognizant of priorities.
He stressed that APC be convened without further delay to adopt a joint strategy to overcome coronavirus pandemic.
He went on say no political party or institution can run the co9untry alone.
He underlined “ Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan does not want to meet opposition leader. PM has not even called his allies so far. He should show some courage and take all political leadership alongside him.
Regarding NAB he said this series of tyranny and repression will now have to be ceased. The government employees are languishing in jails for not becoming king’s evidence. NAB image has developed such that if it does a good work, no one will consider it good.
He underscored that new institution of accountability will have to be formed with national consensus.
