Brussels: (PR)  Chairman Kashmir Council Europe (KC-EU) Mr Ali Raza Syed has called international community to pressurize India for immediate release of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front – JKLF’s Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik who has been illegally detained by the Indian authorities for several months.

It is important to mention that the imprisoned Yasin Malik has announced to go on ‘a fast until death’ from 1st April 2020 against the authoritarian attitude of India.

In a statement while expressing serious concern over the deteriorating health and well-being of illegally detained JKLF’s Chairman Yasin Malik, the Chairman Kashmir Council Europe (KC-EU) Ali Raza Syed said that the Indian government will be responsible if anything unpleasant happenings to the incarcerated Kashmiri leader.

He said that UN and EU particularly should take immediate notice of the worsening health of the Kashmiri leader Yasin Malik in the infamous Tihar prison. He said, the harmful attitude, the harassment and intimidation of Yasin Malik by Indian authorities for several months have depressingly affected the Malik’s health.

Ali Raza Syed emphasized, Yasin Malik is a symbol of freedom movement of Jammu and Kashmir and we cannot tolerate over his worsening health.

He said, Yasin Malik, who despite suffering from various ailments is lodged in New Delhi’s infamous Tihar Jail and Indian court recently charge-sheeted him and other Kashmiri leaders in a 30-year-old fake case registered against them.

Ali Raza Syed said that the Indian government was using its judiciary as a tool to silence the Kashmiri resistance leaders and activists.

He also called for immediately unconditional release of thousands of other Kashmiri political detainees who unlawfully captive in different jails of India.
