Rawalpindi: 8 organized quarantine centers have been set up in Rawalpindi upon district and tehsil level under Punjab government directions as precautionary measures against Coronavirus.
As per media reports, government has taken important measures to avoid spread of Coronavirus after keeping affected and suspected patients into isolation wards and providing them special medical treatment and diagnosis.
Quarantine centers have been set up in government and private educational institutions and private cadet colleges.
Quarantine Centers have been established in cadet college of 55 rooms upon the location of connecting point to Rawalpindi and Motorway Chakri, in private cadet college in Chakri Rawalpindi comprising 30 rooms and 10 halls, in government hostel of 68 rooms of Taxila, in 20 rooms government high school for boys, in 7 rooms of boys college in Kallar Syedan, in Kotli Sattian school comprising 14 rooms and in 12 rooms government girls high school ghora gali in Murree.
Power and water supply have also been made sure in all these quarantine centers in this regard besides taking care of washrooms.
Overall capacity of building of declared quarantine centers is 1300 people.
