Rawalpindi:    (Parliament Times)   The charge sheet of TADA Court Jammu against JKLF incarcerated chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik and others is not only fictitious, concocted and irrelevant but politically motivated too. “Heirs of martyrs like Shaheed Muhammad Maqbool Butt cannot be intimidated and subdued by such illegal, undemocratic and corrupt means”, this was stated by the acting chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Abdul Hameed Butt in a statement issued from Central Information Office (CIO), Rawalpindi

Abdul Hameed Butt while condemning the so-called charge sheet against its party leaders said that the manner in which the said judge has been conducting court hearings since last one year is highly deplorable. The said judge is on record saying that he is performing his duty instead of delivering justice and through his remarks revealed the truth that it is actually the government that does not allow Yasin Malik and Showkat A. Bakhshi to be produced before the court in person, acting chairman added. He lamented over the callous approach of the said judge for not allowing undefended Yasin Malik by any lawyer to represent himself in person even after agreeing to his repeated appeals. The acting chairman said that the said judge on the directions his masters converted the court hearings from weekly to daily basis and thus termed it as Indian judicial terrorism. The fact of the matter is that before the said judge announced its decision of Monday, the Indian media from 14th March has been broadcasting the news of filing charge sheet against Yasin Malik. Abdul Hameed Butt said that all these cases and their proceedings, be those 30 year old cases or new ones, are totally baseless, politically motivated. Butt further stated thatthese cases have no legs to stand in any fair legal system.

Rejecting this judgment, the JKLF acting chairman said that heirs of martyrs like Shaheed Maqbool Butt cannot be intimidated and subdued by such concocted charge sheets and that it is ultimately but the truth that will triumph in the end.R
