LAHORE: The visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Pakistan shows the growing friendship between the two countries and this visit would further boost the bilateral relations. This was stated by Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar in a statement issued here on Friday. It is sanguine that both the countries are moving side by side in the journey of development and prosperity. It is important to note that Pakistan-Turkey relations have touched new heights in the tenure of Prime Minister Imran Khan. Both Pakistan and Turkey have consensus viewpoint on different regional and international issues and hearts of the people also beat in unison, he added and further said that Turkey has sided with Pakistan in every hour of trial. While welcoming the Turkish President’s address to the joint session of the parliament, the chief minister said that his speech was eloquent. The Turkish President has won our hearts by, again, supporting the stance of Pakistan over the core issue of Kashmir and it’s a victory of Pakistan. The Turkish President highlighted the emotions of 22 crore people of Pakistan by announcing to side with Pakistan, he said. We are also thankful to the Turkish President for his unwavering support of Pakistan at FATF. Turkish President has acted as a sincere friend of Pakistan, he added. The bilateral relationship between the two countries is superior to any mundane interest. The people of both countries are conjoined in the relation of love, brotherhood and affection, he further said. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar went to Islamabad and attended the joint session of the parliament which was addressed by the Turkish President.
