Gender mainstreaming refers to legislative and policy-making work. During enacting it is important to take every gender into account whether it is a education, health or every aspect which affects society as a whole. Moreover, gender mainstreaming reinforces the idea that women and men are equal partners in the development of the country. By looking the level of participation of women in social, economic and political fields, one can easily realize how we leg behind other nations in terms of socioeconomic development. West is a good case in point where states are striving to bridge their gender gaps. In conclusion, in order to achieve gender equality , it is noteworthy to include gender perspectives in all areas of social development as it is in the best interest of a Pakistan.
