RAWALPINDI: Dengue fever epidemic has continued to affect people as 87 more dengue cases were reported in Islamabad and Rawalpindi during the past 24 hours, News Agency reported on Sunday.
According to health department sources, 82 new dengue cases were reported Rawalpindi while five patients were brought from Islamabad to various hospitals in Rawalpindi.
Sources said that 9,375 persons have been tested positive for dengue in the twin cities this year out of which 5,700 patients were from Rawalpindi and 3,675 patients were from Islamabad and othe nearby areas.
Sources further informed that the death toll from dengue fever in Islamabad and Rawalpindi has reached 41 this year.
