RAWALPINDI: The City Police Officer (CPO) on Thursday holds police Darbar to listen and resolve the issues of police officials. “Police is a family, it is my duty to resolve issues as the head of the family”, CPO said addressing the Darbar.
According to the details, the CPO Faisal Rana holds police Darbar in police lines attended by the police officers and crops. CPO heard issues of police personnel individually and issued orders for their solution. Police officials openly expressed their issues during the Darbar which were resolved accordingly as per law.
Muhammad Faisal Rana, while addressing the darbar said that, Rawalpindi police is a family and its officials are dear to him as his family members. “Officers and officials must share their problems with me and I will resolve them”, the CPO added.
He added, the resources are required by the police for performing their duties will be provided. “I will even support them for their personal chores within the ambit of the law”, the CPO assured.
A medical camp was set in the police lines in which, not only the police officials and their families to get medical checkups, moreover, an awareness seminar regarding cardiac diseases was held in police lines and anti-dengue spray has been made mandatory in police offices and police stations after the outbreak of dengue in Rawalpindi.
The CPO said that most of the complaints against police are due to their behavior and we have to change the behavior. The law abiding complainant gets half satisfied if the police official speaks softly with him.
The CPO maintained that there could not be any complaint against a police officer who protects the lives and property of the people under the rule of law and does not abuse the authority. As police officials are being awarded strict punishments for negligence and corruption likewise those who work upto the standards will be rewarded commendation certificates.
