ZHOB: Para Medical Staff Association Zhob elected president and general secretary for the next two years. The polls held on the District Headquarters civil hospital premises here.

Ex-president Tahir Hotak re-elected president of the association for the sixth time. Baqar Khan elected secretary general, Sher Zaman Mandokhail deputy secretary general, Qasim Mandokhail chairman and Daulat Mandokhail elected as ‘Sarparast’ of the association. The elections held in the supervision of a provincial election committee. Chairman of the committee Aminullah Bashar and other members supervised the election process at Para medics office.

The newly elected president of the health staff Tahir Hotak thanked all the members for their confidence and said the victory proved the trust of the health fraternity on them.

He resolved that he would try his level best to create best working relationship between the association and the health officials in services delivery.

“Para Medical Staff Association has been struggling for the legitimate rights of paramedics. Over 90% of health services are being provided by the paramedics,” he said.

He hoped that the newly elected cabinet would strive and leave no stone unturned for the rights of the community members.

“We would utilize our energies and capabilities for the welfare of staff members and would not compromise on principles,” He vowed.

Meanwhile, in neighboring Sherani district, the association unanimously elected Zareen Khan Hariphal as district president and Hazrat Shah Sherani as secretary general of the association. The elections held in the presence of the provincial election committee at Para medical staff association Zhob office. The newly elected office bearers have said that the paramedics had been providing health services to the people in remote areas across the district.

Civil society members and political activists have congratulated the newly elected members of the association.
