MUZAFFARABAD :   (Parliament Times)     Youm-e-Ashur was observed across Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) on Tuesday with religious fervor to pay homage to the supreme sacrifices rendered by Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and his devoted companions in Karbala.

Alam, Taazia and Zuljanah processions were taken out in all cities of AJK in memory of martyrs of Karbala.

Heavy contingents of police had been deployed on routes of 10th Moharram processions and premises of Imam Bargahs to maintain peace and thwart any untoward ancient.

Walk-through gates had been installed to check the entry and exit of people at Imam Bargahs and some other points. Strict security measures were taken at all entry points to AJK wherein vehicles and passengers were thoroughly checked.

In the capital city Muzaffarabad, the main procession was taken out from Central Imam Bargah Pir Ilam Shah Bukhari. Small and big Mourning processions were taken out from other Imam Bargahs joined the main procession.

The procession after passing its traditional route returned to the same Imam Bargh where Majlis-e-Shame Ghareeban held.

Ulama and Zakireen highlighted the philosophy of martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) with special reference to feel the pain of Kashmiri people whose fundamental human rights have been assaulted by Indian government.
