Lahore: PML-N President and opposition leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif has said that enemy challenged us in the war of September 6, 1965 and was given a befitting response.
Shehbaz Sharif in his message upon Defence Day said that the war of September 6, 1965 is the glorious chapter of bravery and courage of our martyrs, citizens and warriors.
We pay homage to our martyrs from the whole nation, he said.
Shehbaz said on this day Pakistanis proved that no one can take their freedom.
Great people of Pakistan have proved this upon the enemy that freedom is more important than their lives, he added.
He said today enemy once again challenged us by illegal occupation of Kashmir.
Today is the day of expressing promise of loyalty with brave Kashmiris.
We will protect the freedom of Kashmiris with our blood.
With the help and grace of Allah Almighty we will again give a befitting reply to enemy with the spirit of war of September 6.
Today we have to prepare for new challenges while keeping in the mind the lesson of September war.
