Sargodha: Sargodha University (SU)  has opened the admissions for the fall semester 2019, and established Facilitation Centre to resolve issues faced by the students related to admissions, academics, examinations and accounts by one window operation.

The admissions in more than 150 programs on regular and self support basis could only be applied through online portal.

Announcing the start of the admissions process, Dr Masood Sawar Awan, Director Academics and acting Chairman Admission Committee, Sargodha University said that online portal was designed keeping in mind the exposure and capacity of the students from less-privileged areas so that candidates from any background could easily complete the admission process.

He expressed that the University has introduced a comprehensive digital communication network that facilitates the students in the admission process to ensure transparency in the admission process.

Dr Awan claimed that the online forms would make the admissions process easier for the over 50,000 prospective students in more than 150 degree programs against 9972 seats. There will be no compromise on the quality and transparency in conducting and running these programs, he added.

He said that the University has also established a Facilitation Centre at the main entrance of the University to facilitate admission aspirants, visitors, students as well as alumni to resolve their issues related to admissions, academics, examinations and accounts by one window operation.

A high-tech online management system has been installed at the Center to facilitate visitors without moving them from one surface to the other for resolution of their problems or for seeking guidance. Under this system, issues of prospective students related to online admission are resolved at once, he informed.

Moreover, the Centre will also provide advisory services, issuance and verification of documents, scholarships and banking services and its help-desk provide information regarding academic regulations, student records, programs, calendars, examinations, and official processes of various services, he added.

The first, second and third merit lists for admissions to regular undergraduate and graduate programs will be displayed on October 02, October 05 and October 09 respectively. Merit lists of evening/self-support program will be displayed on October 11, October 15 and October 17, 2019.

The University set September 23 (Monday) as the last date for applying admissions in its merit-based and self-programs.

Classes for the regular and self support programs would start from October 10, 2019 and October 18, 2019 respectively.
