unprovoked Indian firing –  including on a marriage party at Dara Sheir Khan villages of AJK:

MIRPUR : (Parliament Times): Two elderly civilians embraced shahadat while at least four others sustained serious injuries after India resorted to unprovoked ruthless firing targeting the civilians at two separated locations including a marriage party on a forward village Dara Sheir Khan at Line of control in Battal sector in Rawalakot district and Chirrikot sector in Haveili district of Azad Jammu & Kashmir on Sunday, local civil authorities said. When contacted Commissioner Poonch division Ch. Muhammad Raqeeb told our AJK Correspondent Altaf Hamid  Rao over telephone Sunday night that the Indian troops, without any provocation, resorted to shelling targeting the civilian populous areas of forward town of Dara Sheir Khan of Hajeera Sub division killing two elderly participants of a marriage party arranged at the house of one Muhamamd Aqeel son of Muhammad Sideeque at about 5.00 p.m Sunday Those martyred in the Indian firing were identified as Lal Din (63) son of Muhammad Din Dulli, r/o Nangrali village of Dara Sheir Khan and Hassan Din allias Balochi s/o Lal Din Bhatti Rajpur, r/o Dadayal, Mirpur district, according to the Div. Commissioner. Shaheed Lal Din Bhatti was attending the marriage ceremony of his nephew when became the victim of the unprovoked Indian shelling that lasted for some time intermittently. At least three other participants of the marriage ceremony also sustained injuries following the Indian firing from across the LoC.

“And in another identical incident of unprovoked Indian firing from across the line of control at forward civil popolous area in Chirri Kot Sector of Haveili district of AJK at about 9.00 p.m Sunday, a minor lad identified as 8-year-old Sadaam was injured. The seriously injured boy has been rushed to Govt. Tehsil Headquarter Hospital in Abbaspur for onward shifting to District Headquarter Hospital in Rawalakot because of his critical condition”, the Commissioner told quoting the official reports landing the Divisional HQ of Rawalakot from the forward areas close to this side of the LoC in Poonch division.
