Islamabad: (Parliament Times) Chairman Majlis Ulema Pakistan and chief cleric of Badshahi Mosque Lahore Moulana Abdul Khair Azad on Wednesday said that the implementation of Paigham-e-Pakistan recommendations was the only way to ensure peace, prosperity and stability in the country.
Addressing a press conference Moulana Azad said that Road to Makah project was a great gift from Saudi Arabia to Pakistani pilgrims. He also expressed his sincere gratitude to government of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan for initiating this project, which he said would be instrumental in easing out the hectic procedures the pilgrims were going through during the immigration process. “Every Pakistani has a special bond with Saudi Arabia”, he said adding that Saudi Arab has always stood by our nation wherever the situation called for it.
He said, “Our unconditional love for the holy cities is the part and parcel of our faith”. The prevailing situation in the country he said calls for complete unanimity at all levels. “It is time to bury the hatchet and foster brotherhood and interfaith harmony in the country”, Moulana Azad said.
