Malir Karachi: Typhoid virus spread in Sheedi village Malir where more than 150 people affected including children and women by utilizing unsafe and unhygienic water.

12-year girl Shahzadi daughter of Ayoob Khaskheli and 9 month Iram daughter of Abdul Majeed Khaskheli have died due to typhoid fever. Government doctors and NGOs working in the areas visited Sheedi Village after media broke the news. Doctors conducted tests of 200 people of whom 150 were confirmed typhoid patients. After proper examinations seriously ill patients were referred to innah, Civil Tibri and Sindh government hospitals.

Talking to journalists of Awami Press Club Malir doctors who visited the village said that they were shocked to see a number of typhoid patients in a single village. They said that typhoid virus has spread because of drinking unsafe and unhygienic water.

On the other hand heads of All Pakistan Khaskheli Alliance named Yaqoob Khaskheli, Sagar Khaskheli, Habib Zaib and others visited the Sindh government hospital Murad Memon village and had a tendency with hospitalised patients and gave them gifts in which fruits and other things were. In the respect they spoke to journalists that typhoid fever virus is spread due to filthy water merged into drinking water and

Meanwhile elected representatives and human rights defenders have appealed chief Minister Murad Ali Shah urging him to take stock of the situation besides ensuring best medical facilities to the patients affected by typhoid virus.
