Peshawar: K-P government has decided to appoint Abdul Samad as director archaeology despite corruption charges against him.
A summary regarding Dr Abdul Samad’s appointment has been sent to Chief Minister K-P.
Summary bears signature of senior minister Atif khan at which request has been made to CM for early approval.
Abdul Samad was alleged of committing deceit and making illegal appointments and he was released on bail.
NAB had arrested him over allegations of making illegal appointments and deceit.
Chairman NAB Justice Retd Javed Iqbal during a press conference had said that government should not appoint anyone on government post against whom cases are underway but despite all this provincial government is ready to appoint Abdul Samad as director archaeology.
